David Ayres
David Ayres has been a Greenwich resident for 34 years and is currently enjoying a second career as an Accredited Buyer Representative with Sotheby’s International Realty in Greenwich.
David spent numerous years in a variety of corporate financial positions with Chase Manhattan Bank, AMAX Inc. and Overseas Shipholding Group including as their Treasurer.
David is married with three children, he is a member of the Riverside Yacht Club and enjoys boating, skiing and golf. David is a member of the Board of Directors of The Nathaniel Witherell.
Lloyd Bankson
Lloyd Bankson has been a Greenwich resident his entire life. Lloyd has spent his career in the financial sector, first with Citicorp in NYC, London and Hong Kong from 1965-1985. He then moved to London and back to NYC with Goldman Sachs from 1985-1992. Staying in NYC, Lloyd joined JP Morgan and was there until 2001 when he joined iQ Venture Partners.
Lloyd is a member of the Board of The Nathaniel Witherell. He is married with three children.
In his spare time Lloyd is an avid Etchell’s sailor.
Bruce Dixon
Bruce Dixon retired as a partner, in 1988, from Ernst & Young after a 31- year career and then served as Executive Director of the law firm Shearman & Sterling for three years. He moved to Greenwich in 1981 upon transferring to New York from Cleveland.
He has been, and currently is, active in several organizations in Greenwich and New York City. He and his wife, Helen, between them have six children and 12 grandchildren. Their recreational pursuits include boating, tennis, biking and travel.
Jack Moffly
In 1986 Jack, with his wife Donna, founded Moffly Publications, Inc., owner and publisher of Greenwich magazine and more recently Westport, New Canaan~Darien and atHOME in Fairfield County magazines. Prior to this, Jack’s career had embraced thirty years at Time Inc. in sales and marketing Life magazine and other publishing properties.
Recently Jack relinquished his title of publisher of Greenwich magazine and president of the company, and has assumed the title of Chairman Emeritus. In this capacity he continues to be active in community affairs as Greenwich magazine’s ambassador-at-large and to contribute his monthly editorial page on town issues and affairs.
Jack is a forty-five year resident of Riverside. During this time he has served on the board of directors of a cross section of town service organizations including eighteen years on the Chamber of Commerce and its chairman in 1999-2000; the Boys & Girls Club, the Historical Society, GEMS, Greenwich Adult Day Care and the United Way where he headed the 1997-1998 Leadership Campaign. In 2006, he and Donna were honored by the Rotary Club as Greenwich Citizens of the Year. Jack also has the perhaps dubious honor of being the Greenwich Harpoon Club’s Fall Guy in 2000.
David Ormsby
David Ormsby is a Greenwich resident. David spent 35 years as a partner with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in NYC and though retired since 1996 still serves as Senior Counsel to the Firm.
David has been actively involved in community service through his Chairmanship of the Board of The Nathaniel Witherell, Chairman of the Friends of Nathaniel Witherell, Vice-Chairman and Trustee of the Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich, former Trustee and Past President of the Greenwich Library Board, former member of the Town of Greenwich Board of Ethics, former Director of the Haig Point Club and Community Association, former Chairman of the Board of Managers of Camp Dudley YMCA, Inc, former Director of Volunteer Urban Consulting Groups and a former Director of the New York/New Jersey Minority Purchase Council.
Even with all these activities, David finds time to ski, hike, fly fish and collect American Furniture. David is married to Lindsayand has four children.
Thomas Saccardi
Thomas Saccardi is a Greenwich resident. Thomas has retired after a 32 year career as a health care specialist, first as a senior hospital administrator, and then as a credit analyst at MBIA, a municipal bond insurer.
Thomas is in his 15th year as an Adjunct Professor at the graduate public health programs of New York Medical College and Long Island University. He is a Life Fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Academy of Management.
Thomas is a member of the Board of Directors of The Nathaniel Witherell and a member of the Town Building Committee for Project Renew along with several committee memberships at the College of New Rochelle.
Frank Scarpa
Frank Scarpa is a 25 year resident of the Greenwich community. Frank is a general surgeon and had a private practice at Greenwich Hospital from 1968 until his retirement in 2004.
Staying active in the community, Frank is a member of the Board of Directors of The Nathaniel Witherell, GEMS, and the Institutional Review Board of Greenwich Hospital. Frank is currently the Governor at Large of the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Since retiring, Frank has used his skills by volunteering in a surgical capacity in Bolivia (Esperanca), Haiti (Crudem Foundation), and India (F.O.C.I.).
Frank is married to Lorraine and reside in Byram.
Peter Schieferdecker
Peter Schieferdecker moved to Greenwich in 1958 from The Netherlands. Peter spent his professional career in the financial field with First Boston, Brown Brothers Harriman, Scudder Stevens F. Eberstadt, Van Eck Investments and Clemente Capital.
Peter is fluent in Dutch with a working knowledge of German and French. Peter now finds time to be Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, Treasurer of the Greenwich Audubon Society, a Governor and Treasurer of the Riverside Yacht Club.
Peter is the immediate Past-President of the Nathaniel Witherell Auxilliary which was incorporated into the Friends of Nathaniel Witherell.
Peter is married to Jeannette and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren
Chris Thurlow
Chris Thurlow has been an Old Greenwich resident for 33 years and is involved in many aspects of the town.
Chris was Registrar of Voters for 4 terms and a Friendly Visitor to the elderly home-bound (for 12 years). Currently, Chris is a member of the Board of Directors of Garden Education Center of Greenwich, The Garden Club of Old Greenwich and The Nathaniel Witherell, where she is also a trustee of The Nathaniel Witherell Patient’s Trust Fund. Chris is a member of the Innis Arden Golf Club Membership Committee.
Chris is married to Steve and has 2 children and 6 grandchildren.
